In the world of Luxury trains, Palace on Wheels has separate craze and uniqueness. Its state-of-the-art and world-class facilities and amenities with royal ambiance and everything adorned to the train makes it special and unique rather than others. Due to all reasons, Palace on Wheels had created its special page in the history of luxury trains by bagging a number of awards and recognition.

Here it is noted how many awards and recognition were received by the Palace on Wheels from its start of the journey to till today.

The Palace onWheels started its luxury services to its guests from January 26 in the year 1982. At the first time, World Travel Awards (WTA) recognized the brilliance of Palace on Wheels in arranging best accommodation and facilities with a regal touch. It was a great honor for the Palace on Wheels. Later, In the year 1987 Palace on Wheels bagged its first award PATA Gold Award from Pacific Asia Travel Association.

A famous traveler magazine, Conde Nast conducted a survey on the best luxury trains in the world. In the survey Palace on Wheels was voted as the 4th best luxury train in all over the world. Through this survey Palace on Wheels registered its trademark in the World Wide tourism. After that in the year 2009, Palace on Wheels was voted as the “Best in Asia” and also in the same year it was revamped with a new and attractive look.

At last, recently in the year 2018 Palace on Wheels got PATWA (Pacific Area Travel Writers Association) award under the sector of “Tourist Train of the Year”. It was another prestigious award for Palace on Wheels. Also, Palace on Wheels grandeur interiors and looks were telecasted in many international channels such as Discovery, National Geographic, MTV, BBC, and Zee TV.

The reasons behind to grab these many awards and recognition to Palace on Wheels are its royal environment which makes everyone they are traveling in a Palace like and equipment of world-class facilities and amenities. In the coming years also Palace on Wheels will definitely bag many more awards with its innovative ideas.
