Detailed Golden Chariot Itinerary:

This land was once surrounded by a strong army and traversed by the most unique railway in the world-the golden chariot invites you to explore a world full of history and culture. Lean back to relax, the magnificent environment unfolds outside the window, and the interior is full of luxury, so far reserved for the royal family. The Golden Chariot Train tour starts in Bangalore every Sunday of the week and ends on Saturday morning in Bangalore.

Routes and Schedules

The Golden Chariot has 3 routes: "The Pride of Karnataka" traverses Karnataka and Goa, while the "Glimpses of Karnataka" is an expanded route that incorporates Tamil Nadu and Kerala and  Jewels of South is an expanded route that incorporates kerala. These tour operate from October to April of each year.

Route 1 : Pride of Karnataka

There are one or two departures per month, always on Sunday. The train leaves Bangalore and visit Bandipur, Mysore, Halebidu, Chikamgaluru, Hampi, Badami and Goa. Duration : 6 Nights/7 Days

Route 2 : Glimpses of Karnataka Tour

There are one or two departures per month, always on Sunday. The train leaves Bangalore  and visit Bandipur, Mysore and Hampi. Duration : 3 Nights/4 Days

Route 3 : Jewels of South tour

There are one or two departures per month, always on Sunday. The train leaves Bangalore and visit Mysore, Hampi, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur  and Chettinad Kumarakom, Cochin. Duration : 6 Nights/7 Days
